The Scout range of ebikes all have the same mechanical, motor and electrical spec and are all the same size. The differences are in tyre and trim colour combinations. We can also customize these if the particular combination you want is not covered by one of our regular models.
With the pedal assist function working you will get around 30-80km distance . Note - rider weight/wind/terrain/pas level and elevation are all factors that will affect the overall distance slightly so these should be considered.
Using throttle only (no pedalling) our ebikes will do around 20-40km
Because of the large number of variables, we do not claim that you'll get a certain distance.
Please know that in winter time also when the battery is much colder, the range can be impacted by up to 20% in some cases
Our Lithium batteries will get around 800-1000 charges so it depends on how often the bike is used. We expect our customers to get a minimum of 4-6 years and this is based on the bike being used most days. Your battery will not just suddenly die, there will be a gradual decrease in range as the battery ages.
Many factors can impact the battery life and range so please make sure you store the battery correctly and charge it with the correct supplied charger.
The battery will normally take between 4 - 6 hours to fully charge. When the charger is connected to the battery the light will glow red and then turn green once battery is fully charged. The charger will then automatically stop charging but you should unplug the charger as soon as practical.
Charging after each ride is fine as lithium batteries prefer a shallow discharge rather than being run down to almost empty.
With the bike set in unlimited speed mode top speed will be 40 - 45km/h
Yes the throttle can be used without pedalling for the ultimate stress free cruise, however we advise using some pedal assist on long inclines or steep hills as throttle only in these circumstances may cause overheating.
If you are not collecting your bike from us in Auckland fully assembled then it will ship in a reinforced sturdy cardboard box. The bike will arrive 95% assembled and requires only the front wheel and handlebars to be fitted, all electrical wiring and running gear is ready to go. All bikes come with a full instruction / owners manual.
E-bike maintenance focuses on keeping the battery healthy, the chain lubricated, and the drivetrain clean, alongside standard bicycle care like checking tire pressure and brake pads. Regularly clean the bike with low-pressure water, avoid high-pressure jets, and store batteries at room temperature with 30-60% charge.

Frame: 5 Years
Motor: 2 Years or 5000km (whichever comes first)
Battery & Electric Components: 1 Year

To pay via direct internet transfer, select this option in the check out process and you will be given the bank accounts details in which your payment can be made. Once your payment has cleared into our account we will ship your item, please allow an extra 2-3 days on top of the standard delivery time.
